Jay Stanfield
Typesetter, 1938
Jay learned the printing business from an early age as seen in this early photo when he was 18 years old.
1947 – 1948
It wasn’t long before Jay wanted to go into business for himself. In 1947, he started Stanfield Printing Company. These are two pictures of the earliest locations in Guymon, OK. The next year, Irvin Reid became a full partner and the two of them would work together for the next 37 years.

1950 – 1960’s
Over the next few years, they would see many successes by offering the latest technology to their customers. Their recognition for outstanding performance came from the Royal Typewriter Company in the 1950’s, and continued with such firms as Victor Adding Machine Company, Olivetti Corporation, and others

1970’s
With the invention of the copy machine, they began selling the Minolta brand. This led to many years of success and growth. Year after year, Stanfield Printing Co. won multiple awards for their sales and service of this new office technology.
1980’s
In 1985, John Reid purchased his father’s portion of the company and later purchased Jay Stanfield’s portion upon his retirement in 2003.
